The Challenge Sewing Service started in July 2004 with one staff member and one employee. We now provide employment for twelve employees with disabilities, one supervisor and two vocational educators.

The Sewing Service repairs and remanufactures linen and gowns for health services through the Hunter New England Linen Service. Items that cannot be repaired are sorted and sold as rag, both locally and further a field.

We also manufacture items such as laundry bags, draught stoppers and octagonal wraps for air conditioning deodorizers.
