Quirindi Day Programs provides centre based and community access activities for people with intellectual and physical disabilities.
Programs are developed to meet each person’s individual needs and interests. Programmes and activities are designed to develop and enhance skills in a variety of areas.
Activities are aimed at increasing clients choice, independence and confidence. We also encourage the development of friendships and social skills both within our service and the wider community.
Activities offered include:
- Leisure and recreational activities such as craft, woodwork, music and gardening.
- Community access activities such as shopping, lunch outings, movies, volunteer work and accessing various local events as they occur.
- Fitness and health programmes such as gym, walking, Riding for the Disabled, ten pin bowling and swimming;
- Academic programmes, Computer, numeracy and literacy courses.
- Independent living skills including cooking, personal care and basic living skills
- Relaxation programmes such as sensory activities and massage.
