Challenge Recycling operates a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) at 123B Forest Road, Tamworth.

The MRF has been operating at this site since 1992 and employs 31 people with a disability, a manager, a supervisor and four vocational educators, and has an annual output of approximately 10,000 tonnes.

Paper, cardboard, container glass, plastics, steel and aluminium cans are collected, sorted and packaged and forwarded to recycling companies such as Amcor, Visy and Impact Recycling.

The MRF sorts and packages materials received from the kerbside collection contractor and Tamworth Regional Council’s rural landfill sites. Materials are also sourced from local business houses and environmentally conscious residents.

A document collection and shredding service is also offered at a competitive rate.

This facility operates Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 5.00pm.
