Koora Industries have been operating in Muswellbrook since 1959 and manufacture timber products for industry and domestic use, and offer lawn maintenance services.
Koora Industries manufacture pallets, boxed pallets, surveyor’s pegs and hardwood blocks. We also provide work crews for gardening, mowing and lawn maintenance, car detailing, rubbish removal and winery packaging.
We sell painted and unpainted pegs, reflectors, fluorescent coloured pegs, boom sticks, bowyangs and dog kennels. Our customers include surveyors, wineries, engineering services, mines, local business and the general public.
Koora Industries is an Australian Disability Enterprise providing employment opportunities for 24 people with a disability. The disability enterprise is partially funded by the Department of Housing, Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) to assist people with disabilities gain and maintain employment in a supported environment.
An employee development plan is established for each supported employee to help them achieve their goals, and to identify training needs to maintain and increase skill levels. Wages are paid in accordance with a certified workplace agreement, and a certified assessment tool is used to assess skills and productivity.
